
Koppel Casting is a boutique New York based casting office working in theatre, film, and television. Karie Koppel (Casting Director)– Karie began her casting career on independent films in New York and Boston, which she also produced. She turned full time to casting while living in Chicago. Then returned to her home town of New York where she began working with Calleri/Jensen/Davis Casting, then moved to Elissa Myers Casting before establishing her own office.
Since shifting her focus to casting Karie has worked in all genres of the entertainment industry from TV and Film to plays and musicals in New York City and around the country. She has worked on many bold new works and World Premieres in readings, workshops, and full productions.
Karie has handled casting for multiple regional and Off-Broadway companies including The Denver Center, Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, Cleveland Play House, Northern Stage, Abingdon Theatre Company, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Arena Stage, Arizona Theatre Company, Baystreet Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Cape Playhouse, Emerging Artists, Geva Theatre, The Magic Theatre, Merrimack Repertory, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Syracuse Stage, Trinity Rep, 59E59, and Bucks County Playhouse. Her TV and Film work include for PBS: “Walter Winchell” (starring Stanley Tucci), “The Vote” (with Kate Burton, Laura Linney, Mae Whitman, Audra MacDonald, and Patricia Clarkson), “Charles M. Russell” (with J.K Simmons, Bill Pullman, Kathy Baker and Dylan Baker), “Edgar Allan Poe: Buried Alive” (starring Dennis O’Hare and featuring Kathleen Turner, Ben Schnetzer, and Chris Sarandon), and “Murder of a President” (starring Shuler Hensley and Kate Erbe, and featuring Adam Lefevre and James Eckhouse). Other TV and Film: “The Empath,” “The Visit,” “One Night In Atlanta.” Karie has also worked on numerous commercials and industrials.

When not casting Karie can be found wherever there is ice cream or puppies.
